Hi, Do Santander taxi, train or bus drive to the Museo de Altamira? Which one would be convenient? I am not planning to drive a car to the location but would be happy to take public transportation... Any idea for the cost to get there on a taxi? Thank you, Vitaliy

Sorry, we stayed nearby so didn’t need to check this out. Also, if you did change your mind about driving, there is a big car park there, which was not clear from the publicity!

No you can just show up but if you book then you know what time your tickets are for and don't need to wait although lots to see in museum while you wait. Only holders of 9.30 …
No you can just show up but if you book then you know what time your tickets are for and don't need to wait although lots to see in museum while you wait. Only holders of 9.30 tickets go in lottery to see real caves but that is only held once a week & I think the day varies
