They are private. Each side of the room is well vegetated and in front of the room is sparsely vegetated. People walking the beach can not see into your room from the beach due to a …

They are private. Each side of the room is well vegetated and in front of the room is sparsely vegetated. People walking the beach can not see into your room from the beach due to a small sand dune then the roof of your swinging bed. The distance from the beach to the rooms varied. The biggest thing to remember is that the island itself is private with few visitors and the resort is highly inclusive. My husband and I walked for hours on the beach without seeing a soul. The staff of the hotel are amazing and do a great job scheduling activities for you. It is one amazing place.

Hi, Brian. What would you like to know about this accommodation? Can you fly fish from the Island at all or do you have to spend the $530 to go on a deep sea boat? When I was at Bazaruto I used to get a dhow to the sand spit and fish off the end of the spit, is there a similar option at Benguerra (perhaps to the northern point?)? I am not one for deep sea fishing, I prefer my feet on solid land.

You can definitely hire a dhow by negotiating the price with one of the locals. My husband went out while we were there. He "hand" fished (no rod just weights, line, and hook) and …

You can definitely hire a dhow by negotiating the price with one of the locals. My husband went out while we were there. He "hand" fished (no rod just weights, line, and hook) and then once the tide went out he spear fished lobster. He brought the lobster in and the chef fixed them for us as part of our dinner that night. Hope this helps.
