Lady Enid looks amazing! To get an idea of how much stationary time on the boat we would have, typically how long does it take to sail to and from Whitehaven Beach? I have also read that there is a glass of bubbly provided as part of the tour at the end of the day and I understand this is definitely no party boat (which is part of the attraction for me) but generally if I am going to have an alcoholic beverage I like to have one or two however this doesn’t seem to be allowed based on the reviews I have read, is this the case?

The bubbly on the return journey is 1 glass and included in the price. There is an option to purchase an alcoholic drink during the sail out to Whitehaven and also with lunch! This is a quality sail, for couples and not a party boat. The sailing is the main part of the day, probably an hour snorkelling and anchored uo for a further 45 mins for lunch. After that a sail to Whitehaven and approx 69 mins there! The sail back to Airlie is about 3 hours (if I remember correctly) depending on tides and weather. It is an amazing sailing experience. Hooe you go for It!

I have tried ferries, helicopters and an island taxi service and it is not logistically possible. And the tour does not allow enough time for us to go to Hamilton Island. Good afternoon, and I do apologies I have only just seen this message. You do have to climb via a 4 step ladder into and out of the yacht into our small tender, so you do need balance and strength in your arms to pull yourself in and out of the tender. Our toilet is also down stairs in the below cabin, so if we were sailing and your husband had to move about the vessel this may be a problem for him. There is also a bush walk up to the Hill Inlet look out. In saying that, if your husband wanted to stay on board he is welcome to do so. I hope you enjoy your time in Australia. Kind regards Nicole

Hi Maxine. The snorkeling we did was only about 30mins. I’m not sure if you’ve been up to the Whitsundays before but if you haven’t, the snorkeling spots are generally in calmer water (weather dependent). The staff on Lady Enid will follow you around in a dingy if your not confident. Also they provide all your snorkeling equipment and pool noodles which assist you in floating. I’m not a very confident swimmer either and I find the noodles help me stay afloat and focus on the fish. Hope this helps?
