The white lighthouse on a rocky island in the first south-west of Jersey is one of the island's most famous sights.

Even from afar this lighthouse and the surrounding area is worth seeing. At low tide you can walk across but at high tide you see the waves crashing on the rocks. Good for photography. Mike P的完整评论

Great place to visit, especially on a windy day - the cobwebs were truly blown away. Fantastic views, even more so as the storm clouds blew in. Plenty of rock pools to examine too! The 'icing on the … Sue G的完整评论

There is a road that leads to the car parking areas. The lighthouse can only be accessed at low tide as you walk across the sand to it. I don't think it's open very often so may be worth finding out beforehand. There are plenty of beautiful spots all around because as you approach you are quite high up and you can walk along the cliff edges which looks out to sea. Hope that makes sense?

There is no admission to the lighthouse except on a very few days a year when there is a guided tour with a blue-badge guide. You can walk over to the base of the light-house from about mid-tide free and for nothing. This lighthouse has never been occupied (the keepers lived in the cottage at the landward side of the causeway) so there is very little room inside. It was the first concrete LH to be built and originally ran on clockwork and paraffin. Only needed to visited once a day to refuel and rewind.
I have filled in a booking and payment form but when I try to send it, it fails

Hello and sorry for the delay in replying, if you have had no luck with the booking form, try getting in touch with Jersey Tourism at the Weighbridge St Helier.
