If in a metered parking space, the RV may park in two spaces, but both meters must be paid. If an RV parks where spaces are individually marked on the ground with brackets, the RV may occupy two spaces.  This is directly from the City of Sacramento website. thus refer to the website for additional restrictions on RV parking. Considering how bad parking can be in downtown for a regular car, good luck in finding a spot for something as big as an RV.

Yes....try calling the museum. But...anyone who has driven a large vehicle knows...THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES you'll find a parking place near anything! You must try your luck and hope for the best. And,or you could have the "designated driver" find a place within a mile or so...and remain in the vehicle while the other people are dropped off.....and they go into the venue with the plan being to make a cell phone call when they are ready to be picked up. Does anyone know any other "strategies"....???

not sure but based on past events when they had events, live bands, and a DJ, they had them on multiple floors. The sound systems that were used inside were overpowering for the small rooms, and because the systems were not calibrated well for sound in those environments, they actually sounded better listening from an adjacent room, but then again it takes away from being with the music. As others mentioned, call. But if you do decide to attend a jazz festival, try the one in old town, or downtown. The Sacramento Region is not the friendliest of places, it has its problem cities such as Elk Grove, Roseville, Folsom; I hope things go well for you. Unfortunately, the Sacramento Region is known for its gangs, and many of the college students from such colleges as Sacramento City College, American River College, and Folsom Lake College, UC Davis, are known to and have a history of grouping as a Quasi gang for no justifiable nor legitimate reasons on innocent people. They use common tactics listed in psychology studies. Thus, be careful and hopefully you get to enjoy.
