I've watched folks catch and keep fish but with the red tide in the area and devastating year at record levels, killing most of everything on the ocean floor in and around Venice, Fl, I would not eat any fish from that area this year. The postings from the media and local government during the red tide height last summer were very, very misleading so approach eating any of this fish with caution regardless of what the local authorities indicate. When I was posting pics last summer the local government and media was downplaying things but my pics clearly indicated thousands, yes thousands, of dead fish on the beach and the towns smelled like a sewer. Good luck

There is a lot of sitting on the pier all along the pier all the way to the end the bathrooms are at the beginning of the period nowhere near the end of the pier before you can walk out …
