It’s a really nice place for HISTORY lovers. You can see the culture and stuff that used to exist 4000-3000 years ago. Must visit place. Kashvi_singh的完整评论

Hi Shridevi, Lothal site has two parts: the excavated relics and the museum. Spend about an hour at the museum, and an hour outside. Velavadar Wet and dry sactuary is not very far. I suggest you stay there the night earlier. In the evening visit the dry-land sanctuary of blackbucks. Early morning, take a guided tour to the wetland part of the sanctuary, you may find some birds. Then head to Lothal. Alternatively, if you are coming onward from some place, visit Lothal first, then head to Velavadar. On my visits, I have driven past Valbhipur as well, but have not stopped to visit: they say it is interesting, too. I hope it helps.

According to me, both Lothal and Dholavira are deserving of a visit as both are different sites of the Indus Valley Civilisation. Unfortunately, Gujarat has very few guides mainly in and around Ahmedabad and no local guides are available at the sites. However, ASI has a very nice TV presentation in the Lothal Site Museum that gives one a very good idea of the place
