Dr. Moritz graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, and earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. After completing a residency in orthopedic surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, he moved to New Orleans where he completed a fellowship in sports medicine and reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. During his time in New Orleans, he was an assistant team physician for the NFL New Orleans Saints and the NBA New Orleans Hornets. In addition to his surgical practice he is part of the Willis-Knighton Sports Medicine team.
