The garden is primarily a display of bronze sculptures --big and wonderful!- of the more famous characters of Dr Seuss. The elephant-(Horton hears a Who) Thing 1 and 2--many more-are there to chase around, giggle at, and the stick figure made like a big open round tent-kids can run in and out of--It is a big open grass area where they can run-no swings or rides, really a celebration of Dr Seuss and his familiar and beloved characters. The natural history part of the museum is full of great things-the garden is a lawn /park to run and be free. I think you would want to search the area for other things to add on, but I loved exposing my 2 boys to fun and fantasy from early days...on up. If they already love the stories they would "get it"---but it would not be a place to go 2 hrs for just the garden. Hope this helps.
Bring your child inside the main entrance of the museum where their class is to be held. Students should be picked up promptly at the time class is dismissed....
