The pier has been damaged beyond repair and is closed. The boardwalk continues along the beach but the beach itself is narrow and heavily sloped making it difficult to walk. There are way better beac… pfefmeister的完整评论

Great local beach w lots of great dining option. Good fishing, and if waves, good surfing. Been coming here from Orlando for 30 years. Laid back and peaceful place, great for weekend vacations. orlandoauction的完整评论

So I was in town for one night - wanted to grab a pic of the pier out in the Al water. No go, it was hit by a hurricane and you can not go out into it. Sad site to see. I hope they plan on fixing … kerrih442018的完整评论
Yes, you can rent fishing poles, buy bait, etc. They also offer discounts for seniors, the military, etc. In addition, you can just go out of the pier to relax for a nominal fee.
It seems like we saw dogs on the pier. I really can’t say for sure. You could probably go to the Flagler Beach web site and find out. It is a very popular pier.

Hello Seaside, fishing is allowed however shark fishing would be detrimental to the attraction of beach goers and I am sure, in my opinion, local leaders, would not want to attract such predators. Now, there is no method that I am aware of that would restrict sharks from approaching said beaches. But, if you are interested in shark fishing there are boat contractors/charters that would welcome taking you and/or a party out for the excitement of casting for the big fish.
