Glenstone is a place that seamlessly integrates art, architecture, and nature into a serene and contemplative environment. Guided by the personal vision of its founders, Glenstone assembles post-World War II artworks of the highest quality that trace the greatest historical shifts in the way we experience and understand art of the 20th and 21st centuries. These works are presented in a series of refined indoor and outdoor spaces designed to facilitate meaningful encounters for our visitors.

How do I apply for 2 free tickets to see the museum in June 2019?
答:
You get tickets at the museum website. I don’t recall how far ahead you can reserve them but that’s where I would start. Tickets are free.

Hello Rachel. I haven’t returned to Glenstone since the new pavilions were opened a few months ago. But, when visited last summer, I spent approximately two hours. Most of that time was outside, on a guided tour of the outside sculptures. While I can’t tell you how much time most visitors spend at the Glenstone, 2+ hours at any museum is usually enough for me — no matter how wonderful the collection, at that point I’m visually overloaded and ready to move on. Depending on your stamina level, I suggest that you plan for a visit of 2-3 hours.

There is handicap parking in the Sycamore parking lot, which is closest to the Welcome Center. I recommend that you use a wheelchair that has big diameter rear wheels. Transport wheelchairs probably not recommended, as small plastic wheels may break. It is a 6 minute walk from the Welcome Center to the Pavilions museum. Will take you 5 to 10 minutes longer pushing a wheelchair. It is mostly uphill, gradual, going to the Pavilions so you may need to stop to rest along the way. You can stop to view the Jeff Koons “Split Rocker” off to your left. The return trip should be much easier. A shuttle vehicle is available in the parking lot, but I did not try it. To catch the shuttle to return to your car, go to the Cafe, which is 3 minutes further than the Pavilions museum..
