I have been to Hamworthy with a group of kids on an outdoor education trip. We used a portable gas stove for that and nobody challenged us. It was quite big as well. I think as long as you tidy up after yourselves, they wouldn’t mind. There are beach huts there so I would imagine they all have cooking stoves etc. You could check in at the cafe, just to make sure.
