HI I m planning to visit pichavaram alone on Shivarathri in Feb with family. I heard there will be crowd during these days . let me know travelling from blore to pichavaram is worth since i have covered pondy and chidambaram last time.

As raghuraman said, just going to pichavaram is not worth when you are traveling from Bangalore to pondy. Try to club few other places.
Have they re opened the longer 4 hour boat tours or is it still just one hour tours?

Actually they will not take you more than half an hour. Depends on the person. The person we took put some additional time( one hour) and effort taken us inside beautiful tunnel.
