I am wondering if there is an option to fly one way and take the mule the other way? Also how hard is it on Knees?

I don't log in here often and apologize for the delay in my response. I believe the mules are a two-way trip only. They bring them to the trail head at the top of the cliff and you ride it down and then back up. It would likely take some very special arrangements to do otherwise, as the mule tour company is separate from the company that runs the planes/choppers.
Hi! Can you let me know when you took this ride? It appears that the mule rides have been shut down since as least the beginning of April. Many thanks,

We took this ride July 2018. So glad this trail was open with mule rides and skinners all in tow!!!!
Hi everyone--how did you get to Molokai for this tour? I see that Lahaina-Molokai ferry service was terminated in October 2016, and the earliest arrival I can find for a Hawaiian Airline flights from Maui (OGG) to Molokai is after 11 a.m. (and the tour starts at 7:45 am!). We are staying in Maui (Lahaina and then Wailea). Any tips would be great--we REALLY want to do this mule tour!

Try Makani Kai air, they have several flights from Maui to Molokai each day.
I'm coming to the island and the intent is to visit park ( still scared of mule ride, but as a solo traveler they can't guarantee a fly in/out experience)...the other issues are all cars are sold out. Does anyone have suggestions?
