There was no problem with insects when we visited. We had taken the precaution of bug spray. Neither of us were bitten. We were there late morning. It might be different at peak bug times, early morning or late afternoon. We had one other couple and the guide in our tram but the maximum capacity is 8. It would be quite cramped if the tram was full.

We did this as part of an excursion booked through the Air Canada representative at our resort. The price was included in the excursion price.
