We enjoyed seeing Rainbow Falls! It was so awesome to see it! We purchased tickets for $15 each at the Adventure Center. We got a round trip shuttle bus ride up the mountain and a ride back also! …sandbeachandsun的完整评论

Rainbow Falls has good flow year around. It's fed by the San Joaquin River. There's another waterfall in Reds Meadow called Mineret Falls that runs low on water after the snow melts.

The other answers are accurate. The falls are not visible from the road and the trail requires walking. It is sandy, but not difficult.

Start from the visitors center( you are taking the bus anyway to get there) you will pass the Devil’s post pile then to the rainbow falls, beautiful scenery.

I agree - 15 minute walk if you are in decent shape. Don't come wearing sandals like I have seen many people try to do.
