Less than 2 miles towards downtown (other side of I-69) is an area referred to as “Lower Montrose”, near the University of Saint Thomas and Rothko Chapel. You will find lots of vintage stores, artsy stores and unusual restaurants. This is a unique area unlike what’s found in most Texas cities.
My husband is a patient at MD Anderson. Does the museum have wheelchairs available or must we bring our own? Also, generally is the museum easily accessible? Are private tours available for people with some walking limitations? TIA

MFA does have wheelchairs available. You might call to make sure they will have one for you. Tours generally accommodate visitors who have to have to move slowly.
