Thai police have arrested a Japanese yakuza boss on the run for 15 years after pictures of his tattoos went viral on Facebook. Shigeharu Shirai is accused of murdering a gang rival in 2003.

Last year, a yakuza boss in western Japan sued his former mentor over the gang office. The old boss had filed papers to transfer ownership of the office to a company headed by one of his relatives.

After boasting about the high-flying days when his gang was on top of the world, a yakuza boss lamented his current life of loneliness, boredom, deteriorating health and approaching death.
