Before that though, he'll join Texas baseball and coach Jim Schlossnagle for the 2025 spring season. The last Longhorn who played baseball and football at Texas was Shea Morenz from 1992-1995.

The 53-game schedule features 26 games against teams that reached the NCAA tournament in 2024. The Longhorns will play 32 home games in 2025.

Schlossnagle has been the head coach at Texas A&M for the past three seasons and guided them to the Men's College World Series finals this past year for the first time in program history.
