The six dams that supply the Algarve are at 41% of their total water storage capacity, thanks to the rains over the last few days, adding another 30.9 million cubic meters of water.
The Algarve municipalities have positioned themselves in favour of the construction of two new dams in the region, one on the Foupana River and the other on the Alportel River.
