The heroes of Biker Mice from Mars were three anthropomorphic mice who — as the name advertises — were native to Mars whose homeland was destroyed by the evil Plutkarians. The mice escape Mars to Earth and begin defending their new home from their old enemies.

Three survivors, Throttle, Modo and Vinnie, manage to escape on a spaceship, but are shot down by a Plutarkian warship and crash-land on Earth in the city of Chicago. There they meet a charming female mechanic named Charlene "Charley" Davidson and discover that the Plutarkians have come to Earth to steal its natural resources.
