2005年10月29日 · The "Ford-O-Matic" name was transferred to a new 2-speed automatic (know as "Mile-O-Matic" on the '59 Edsel). It would appear that the transmission unit itself should be compatible between Ford/Mercury/Edsel, through 1958. The Teletouch is a stand-alone control system that replaces the manual column shift selector.

2005年11月6日 · It would be possible to build one, as the Edsel Ranger and Pacer shared a body with Fords. You could take a Ford retractible, bolt on the Edsel front clip, and use the Edsel station wagon tail lights and rear fender chrome which were made to fit the Ford rear fenders. Then you would have to swap out the dash board, interior, and possibly engine.

2007年5月23日 · I saw that on ebay. I've seen several done with 58 Edsel front clips on Ranchero's. Some even used the Edsel SW tail lights. I was impressed with this one due to the completeness of the illusion. Other than 59 Edsels being ugly, I thought it was a nice job. Back in the late 50s and early 60s there were quite a few of the car to truck conversions.
