    被子植物，又称开花植物、真花植物或有花植物，是指有胚植物中的一类种子植物，其种子有较完整的保护构造，在胚胎时期即被子房包覆；可依其子叶数目，大致再细分为双子叶植物与单子叶植物。 以前的生物学分类称“被子植物门”，而现今被归为一个演化支。“被子植物演化支”是植物界最多样化的种类，约有304000种，也是有胚植物中为数最多且最为人所知的一种。开花植物是现时地球上演化最先进及最具优势的植物种类，约占所有维管植物物种总数的94%。
