2022年8月17日 · I’ve never seen a 2 action ability outside of legendary actions. The slice and dice ability should probably also be +14 to hit unless it’s scaling off another stat. Towards the end of the grotesque abomination ability it says “the creature is gains”, should probably just be the creature gains, or the creature than gains.

A standard beholder's stat block includes things like their hit dice, THAC0 (basically, attack bonus), magical abilities and such, but there's no need for ability scores because it just gives key numbers straight up, like damage/attack. So sadly, can't really be compared directly.

It's got AC 18, which is just high enough to make things like Great Weapon Master and Sharpshooter a risky gamble to be reliable. It's CR 13, or 14 when encountered in it's Lair, meaning 4 lvl 7 characters is a deadly encounter.

Once the beat the dragon’s health to 0 then phase two it grows beholder eyes and uses a beholder stat block. Then once that’s dropped to zero phase three begins and it grows tentacles and becomes a mind flayer lich stat block.
