It's from the movie Dodgeball. In one scene, the main character puts on a blind fold while in a sudden death dodgeball game. One of the announcers (named Cotton) states, "he won't be able to see". His stupid and or high co-announcers replies "That's a bold move, Cotton. Let's see how it plays out" Edit: the movie is Dodgeball, not Anchorman. And now I feel stupid.

Partly for the joke but my friends thought the quote was “it’s a bold move, Cotton” instead of what it actually is, but when we rewatched it and heard it for themselves, they just stuck with saying “it’s a bold move, Cotton” for shits and giggles 2 PitPatrick
