Gas Works Park is a park located in Seattle, Washington, United States. It has a 19.1-acre (77,000 m 2) public park on the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant, located on the north shore of Lake Union at the south end of the Wallingford neighborhood.

Gas Works Park has a play area with a large play barn, and big hill popular for flying kites. Special park features include a sundial, and a beautiful view of Seattle. Access to Lake Union is restricted at Gas Works Park, as the lake sediment contains hazardous substances.

2022年9月25日 · Gas Works Park was an old gasification plant that the city preserved and built a park around it. A nice way of preserving the past and molding it into something useful in the present. The main collection of preserved steel structures was still fenced off and covered with a lot more greenery and unsightly graffiti than I remember.

2020年3月19日 · Gas Works Park, located on a promontory extending from the north shore of Lake Union, is a Seattle Landmark and National Register of Historic Places listed park. The site was originally proposed for a park in the 1903 Olmsted Report, but was subsequently developed as a gas works plant in 1906 by the Seattle Gas Light Company.
