First movie had a big investigation inside it with an explanation scene at the end of it. Second movie literally adapted and extended a canon story which did not have an investigation itself.

I LOVE Guy Ritchie movies and I think he is one of the most unique directors in the business. His films are great. They have a fantastic sense of humor, always top actors and they strike the perfect balance between action, sophistication and entertainment. The stories are usually ingenious and always have an interesting twist.

Nearly every other Guy Richie film has a tagline along the lines of, "Guy Richie is back!" /"Classic Guy Richie!" /"Guy Richie in peak form!" This is as early as his 3rd or 4th film. It's literally on the posters of Revolver, RocknRolla, The Gentleman, etc. This guy also delivered King Arthur, Swept Away, Operation Fortune, fucking Aladdin.
