One of the things GATTACA brilliantly sets up is this idea of genetic classes based on who could afford artificial selection. I probably wouldn't be able to afford it for my kid, but others would. "Gattaca" (1997): A classic example of heartfelt science fiction.
2017年8月23日 · Gattaca has a special place in movie scifi history, because it strikes balances on multiple levels without being compromised, and is still very moving in ways that are hard to describe. The plot could easily have been abused by more cynical filmmaking: A world where the quality of one's engineered genes determines your economic and social ...

2022年2月11日 · Gattaca is just timeless. It's a rare sci-fi that doesn't have violence as a core driving part of the narrative. It's so quotable as well. It's one of my favorite movies. "They say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star."

2023年12月23日 · First saw this movie in AP Bio after the AP exams were done. 2023年3月18日 · Gattaca (1997) has got to be one of the most underrated movies in terms of how eugenics and futurism can improve a society in no insignificant ways. When you look at it....other than personal issues that the characters face...there’s not much in the way of suffering in the world of Gattaca.

2022年3月9日 · GATTACA is still a fantastic movie. The chemistry between Jude Law and Ethan Hawke is fantastic. The premise may be a bit hokey but I can't help but watch the movie all the way through. The real star though, is the score. Michael Nyman is just on fire with the music he composed. It absolutely sells the world and all that it entails.
