I just heard that the Church has announced a major shift in access to LDS family services and their licensed counselors. In the past Bishops could opt to pay for the counseling services for a member out of fast offerings, but now the services are being provided free of charge to the unit for active members with a Bishops referral.

2021年4月7日 · Your best bet is to find a therapist outside of actual lds family services that will accept bishop payment. Lds family services wasn’t that great and some of the therapists were very new or didn’t have a lot of experience with deep trauma stuff.

My brother was adopted through LDS Family Services and he had NO luck finding anything about his birth family other than the basic Personality traits / occupations / education.
