2022年2月26日 · Worth mentioning that I tend to use extra plugins to add texture, as amp simulators or samplers. The projects tend to be heavy and the interface has quite a lot to handle. I am tempted by the Motu M4, because of the extra 2 line inputs. When I’m not recording, I keep my turntable connected to the interface (Pro-Ject > Denon PMA > 2 line inputs).

2018年11月17日 · The gain on the Motu M4 is incredibly low compared to my old cheap UR22. Like 12db lower. Signal is bass->Reddi at noon->interface same cable, no gain on interface. Once i put both signals at same level, i've the impression im loosing a bit details/definition, like the recording from the UR22 has more depth.

2022年2月11日 · Welcome! I have a Motu M4 and use it with a ASM Hydrasynth and Arturia Microfreak (and a Zoom MS70 pedal). The synths are instrument-level, not line-level, so input 3 & 4 will not have enough gain. The only way to fix this is with a line converter, DI box or, like you said, a mixer that ups its input voltage to line output.
