2024年5月1日 · I dont agree with this, Bolan started bringing soul elements into his music first, it was afterwards that Bowie also thought it was a good idea and recorded "Young Americans" another example that Bowie still looked to Marc for ideas is the song "New York City" which was released in 1975, Bowie cloned the backing track for "Nightclubbing" which was released on the Iggy Pop album "The Idiot".

2024年5月1日 · That said, Tanx was a close second and I thought (and still think) it was an engaging listen front to back. Great music on here, feels like Bolan just pulls hooks out of nowhere once in a while - like at the end of Mister Mister! Such a great set of music, I'm actually surprised it's considered "lesser" T.Rex.

2020年4月9日 · The Visit - this 9 CD box set is pretty much everything Tyrannosaurus Rex recorded (entire studio sessions) bar things like Tony Visconti's home demos, right up to the first T. rex album. Some interesting stuff in absolutely perfect sound quality (the sound on some of the songs far surpasses that on even official releases).

If you want the count-in on "Summertime Blues" it's on The Singles Collection Vol. 1 1968-1972 (Teichiku TECP-25384) with the other songs you are after up to and including "Cadilac" - however, this disc sounds a bit wonky to me ...

2012年5月12日 · It's in relation to Japanese T.REX CDs. I have a copy of the Slider that is cat number 20CP-1, and I think it's from 1989. I've seen a copy of TANX with a catalog number of 00CP-1510 and just wondered if it is before or after 20CP series ?

2024年5月1日 · Light Of Love is definitely an interesting piece of the T. Rex catalog. And yeah, I agree that because it (Light) was released first, Zip Gun might be technically considered a compilation, but not really - it (Zip Gun) was already in the process of being recorded when the US record deal came through, I believe.
