Vtec Pressure Switch Bypass (P2646/P2647) - Honda Element …
2024年2月14日 · The vtec oil pressure switch changes continuity to ground, while the vtec activation circuit sends 12 volts to the solenoid. Sending +12V from the solenoid signal to the oil pressure switch signal (which is expecting to see a ground or an open circuit) may damage the ECU, and I do not recommend it nor will I be testing it.
Question about bypassing the VTEC oil pressure sensor.
2023年1月25日 · Switching the rocker arm oil control solenoid on will cause oil to flow to the high-lift mechanism and turn the rocker arm oil pressure switch off. Got it? Solenoid OFF, oil pressure switch ON. A vice-versa. The i-HDS test just checks for that switching of the oil pressure switch to occur when the oil control solenoid is switched on. That's it.
P2646 wiring and oil pressure revisited. Is the factory...
2022年1月17日 · The VTEC solenoid activates and sends oil pressure to the VTEC pressure switch. The BLU/BLK wire carries 12v from the PCM to the VTEC pressure switch, which is in a normally closed position (continuity) allowing the voltage to be routed through the BRN/YEL wire to G101 ground. Since the wire is grounded, the PCM reads 0V on the BLU/BLK wire.
Oil Pressure Switch Replacement - Honda Element Owners Club
2019年2月19日 · The oil pressure switch (also called a sensor) is located on the back side of your engine nearer the passenger side. It is below your VTEC solenoid assembly and above your oil filter, and has a one wire connector attached to it. It will probably be easiest to work from the top side to replace it.

2019年8月11日 · Cleaned the original spool valve and put a WVE brand VTEC oil pressure switch and changed oil again to Mobil 1 5W20 with Mobil 1 filter. On to my next project the CRV. Tried the same fix with with a WVE brand oil pressure switch and Mobil 1 oil. Had already tried all the other things listed in original post. Same problem.
Possible VTEC oil pressure switch solution - Honda Element …
2022年2月19日 · The oil pressure switch plug will need to be changed to spade terminals. Polarity does not matter. If you want to go back to oem or if the plug is broken you can repair it with this. I tested the oem switch and it opens the circuit at about 24 psi and closes at around 18 psi. I set the Dwyer switch at 24 psi.

2025年1月28日 · consider, replacing the connector ( B11/VTPSW "pig tail" connector ? ) for the oil-pressure-sensor/switch. before replacing /VTEC oil: solenoid-spool-valve/pressure switch assy/, clean contacts on both sockets w/tiny wire brush, and contact cleaner, esp the pressure switch. Apply dialectric crease on the socket male pins.
Replacing the v-tec oil pressure switch - DIY
2010年1月11日 · I've had some issues with my 'oil pressure switch', and they seem to be my fault (not changing the oil with enough regularity.) There are some serious consequences to having a faulty switch - the most notable being that the Element will lose all throttle control (although the engine remains running) above 60 mph.
VTEC problem: Code P2646 (also 2647, 2648, 2649)
2006年4月17日 · Oil pressure in the VTEC hydraulic circuit is verified to the PCM by high voltage on the VTEC oil pressure switch feedback circuit. An open circuit (unplugged sensor, broken wire, open contacts within the pressure switch) or a feedback circuit shorted to another voltage source, results in high voltage on this circuit.

2021年12月21日 · Mr. Tovey7, I am thinking, and I might be wrong, that this is the oil pressure sensor that is screwed into the top of your VTEC solenoid assembly on the back of your engine. When the ECU sends voltage to your VTEC solenoid it allows pressurized engine oil to flow to the valve assembly and lock it up so your valves open more and give you more power.
