2001年5月6日 · Winchester had a couple different patterns that can help to date it. Regardless, its a great find, most Winchester axes/htchets go for at least $50 plus easy. Sorry for my poor typing above in previous.

I've watched some axe videos on YouTube and browsed various websites and learned old axes are actually better than the new stuff at the big box stores and are collectible. I still had the axe so I took a closer look to see what it was. Looking real hard through the rust and dirt I was able to make out it's a Winchester.

2024年2月21日 · Your Winchester is a sweetheart, good find. I have a cast steel E. Rogers Ideal hatchet head with an April 7, 95 patent date. I’m pretty sure it ain’t 1995. Had a crappy pine stick when I got it, rehung it the first week on a 14” hickory half-octagon. Now it’s proud. Parker

2004年11月20日 · It's pretty difficult. If you're really lucky, someone who's very familiar can recognize an axe by a few, little details. For instance, eye ridges usually (but apparently not always) indicate True Temper. If the eye looks like three drilled holes, it's a Marbles. Post pictures, expect nothing, and you just might get lucky.

There is a Kelly TT cruiser which is the smaller eye/head that I don't think I can link because it is an active auction that is marked 2^2 - weight is given as 2 pounds 9.8 ounces.

2001年5月6日 · Still, I'd like to find a "pristine" condition HUDSON BAY Axe. I recently found a nice condition S&N Hudson Bay Axe Head. This past weekend, I found a very nice condition PLUMB single bit, a WINCHESTER Axe Head and, the (aforementioned) SWEDEN Axe Head. Oooh yea, I also found another "mystery" Axe Head.
