2021年1月29日 · So I set to work unwrapping it, re-fitted the neck and a fresh set of strings, tuned, set up (not even a truss adjustment needed, just a slight action lowering and a minor tweak to intonation!) And about 20 minutes later I was greeted with a mint condition, perfectly playing Yamaha BB235!

2021年4月27日 · Initially I went with the BB235. Then called Sweetwater back and upgraded with the BB435; better neck, pickups, neck attachment, an obvious upgrade. Now I have never played a Japanese BB or a 435, but the reviews here are all positive. Even Guitar World loved the BB435 and gave it a top rating for 2021.

2020年8月7日 · Aesthetically, I'm a little with you on the Yamaha. For the life of me, whenever I see the BB bass, it reminds me of an upside down lollipop. But it's a good lollipop as they make very solid, good sounding basses of great quality. I currently own a TRBX 304 bass and it's been really dependable even though it's one of their more inexpensive models.

2020年4月14日 · Yamaha's stated intent for the current series was to open up the high end a bit to offer a slightly more modern-voiced BB - and it does sound great! But depending on your tone preferences, there's definitely a consideration to make when going the BB route.

2018年5月6日 · That weight is the only reason I don’t own a vintage Yamaha BB. I’ve passed on several for that very reason. All of my basses are around 9.5 lbs or less. Between 9 and 9.5 lbs is the sweet spot for me. It feels good sitting and standing . Always has a good even balance. I also don’t own any ash basses. They tend to carry more weight.
