I disagree! I think the pilot is more... real? While I do love the series aesteic, the pilot is rough. How the crystal warp pad is jutting out of the broken floorboards, the chipped stone blocks that make up their house, the mess on top of the loft I can only assume Steven sleeps in, and the extream proximity to the big donut.

2023年6月15日 · According to my brother, it’s the best EPISODE, fullstop. I’ll admit, it didn’t grab me straight off (it took me a few episodes to really get into Gravity Falls), but it is a good pilot, which really does epitomise what the show is all about: the goofy yet terrifying elements, the mystery of the Journal, the twins personalities and the importance of the sibling bond.
