The HH is an outdoor, hookstick operated, air disconnect switch. The HH is constructed primarily of copper and bronze. The hookstick switch is premium quality and a heavy-duty design. An oversize operating ring and 4 to 1 mechanical pry-outs, aids the operator in operating the switch.

The term "hookstick" comes from the long, insulated pole with a hook used to manually operate the switch from a safe distance.

HOOKSTICK SWITCH APPLICATION & TESTING The HH8 is designed for substation applications such as isolating low voltage breakers and regulators. The HH8 hookstick switch is available at 8.3 kV - 72.5kV, with both 600 A and 1200 A ratings. The HH8 has been extensively tested to meet or exceed current ANSI standards.

The DCD Disconnect Switch is a single-phase hookstick operated switch utilized to sectionalize or isolate circuits on electrical distribution systems up through 38 kV. The distribution switch can be mounted on a single or double cross arm and is rated for 600 or 900 amperes continuous current and 40,000 amperes momentary.
