2008年7月17日 · I shot pellets with the #11 caps in my Wolverine for years and never had a misfire. However, most folks will tell you that the pellets are designed to be shot with the 209 primers. If I were definately planning on shooting the pellets, then I would probably spend the $50 or so bucks on the conversion.

2011年4月12日 · As stated pellets are definitely easier to load than loose, especially for a second shot. Pyrodex and 777 require cleaning after the shooting session while Blackhorn does not. If your rifle likes a fouled barrel it is almost impossible to keep a fouled barrel with Pyrodex or 777 without corrosion problems. An important consideration when hunting.

2017年6月13日 · Pyrodex pellets do have a touch of blackpowder on one end for better ignition. Triple Seven pellets do not. Pellets were designed for 209 primers, not #11 caps. You might get them to go off, then again you might not, for target that doesn't matter, but in a hunting situation or other, not worth the chance.

I know that BP is "stuck" on the end of Pyrodex pellets to get it to light, Maybe isopropol alcohol would help bind it temporarily and then dry out. I have found a cake decorating tube that I might adapt to extrude the mixture.

2013年1月7日 · Pyrodex is also said to cause a crud ring to form, but the difference according to people that have an opinion about this is that Pyrodex causes a "softer" fouling than T7. You also have to remember that since the Pyrodex pellets have black powder on them, they are actually more corrosive. Just make sure you clean your gun after shooting.

2014年3月10日 · I have shot several Pyrodex Pellets out of several #11 ignition inlines with no problems. Just don't expect the same results with Triple Se7en Pellets. I haven't shot Pyrodex Pellets out of a factory 70's era .45 caliber Huntsman though, so take that into consideration.
