It's because the swastika is an official Chinese character, pronounced wàn (meaning, well, swastika). Unicode is a project to create a font containing the characters of all world languages, and they started with Chinese. Thus, why it's located in the Chinese fontspace and given the Chinese definition.

2024年1月30日 · The Swastika had an even longer history not associated with Nazi Germany, white supremacy or anything in Europe at all. While the Iron Cross only really showed up in the 1800s. I get the Nazi Flag was the National Flag and it had the Swastika on it. The Iron Cross was only associated with military flags.

Already, in most of the world , the American flag strikes fear into the hearts of the innocent and the down-trodden, because it is combat boots on soldiers wearing the American flag-- not the hammer and sickle-- that are keeping them down.

Atm I use 44 different unicode for the different nations in-game, although some of them are "shared" because, sadly, the unicode that Gaijin uses is a bit limited (i.e. Australia and New Zealand, Canada and the UK, Nazi Germany and West Germany/modern Germany, and USSR and Russia).
