Our History – Thomas Rotherham College
Reorganisation of education and the introduction of the comprehensive system in Rotherham from 1967 brought the merger of local school sixth forms to create of one of the first three Sixth Form Colleges in England; the College adopted the name of the founder of the town’s original school.

We work with our partner schools in Rotherham and Sheffield to help with the transition from school to College. Students apply to and join us from over 50 different schools. Of course we welcome applications no matter where you live, what school you come from, or if you are already a school leaver.
