Put a card in the circle to block their way and keep guiding them away from the circle until they reach the dirt or something. But I guess that unless you know where the ant-hill is, or the pheromone trail back to it, you’re not really leading them anywhere helpful. They’ll just get into another death spiral when you leave.

But if you re-frame this as "At least half of these ants must change it's path, onto the exact same NEW path, without any previous coordination or communication, and all at the same time" then you realise the death spiral isn't so stupid.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see LOG 3x! I’m live outside Philly. WAs there at the electric factory for Killadephia ! Then in Atlantic City twice! Those dudes are fuckin tight! The changes…so quick. That double bass that sounds like quadruple bass! I can see these ants totally rocking as they spin the death spiral into their own demise.

I've never seen a death spiral, but I have seen small ants having ant wars with other colonies. Sometimes you'll see a huge mass of ants crawling on each other and there will be a line of ants coming from each colony into the fight, if you look closely you can see some carrying off the Dead. Ants are cool.

2023年2月28日 · I had one ant appear over 2 hours ago on this lamp on my wall. It was walking around the rim as if it was fallowing a death circle formation and didn’t stop. 1 hour later, Ant 1 disappeared. Another 20 minutes go by an now there’s 4 ants stuck in a death circle. Pretty interesting and kinda lost where these little ants came from.
