La Familia Michoacana (Spanish pronunciation: [la faˈmilja miʧoaˈkana], LFM; [3] [4] English: The Michoacán Family), La Familia (English: The Family), is a Mexican drug cartel and organized crime syndicate based in the Mexican state of Michoacán.

La Familia Michoacana comenzó en los años 1980 cuando un grupo de vigilantes clandestinos se dedicaban a combatir el narcotráfico en el estado de Michoacán. En los años 1990, la organización se alió con el Cártel del Golfo para expulsar a la Familia Valencia.
