2005年3月4日 · The B&M ratchet shifter works like this. When it's in park, you pull it fully to the back and release it so it springs back to it's original location. This moves the transmission to reverse. Repeating this ratchet action moves it through each of the gears. Ratcheting in the opposite direction moves it back towards park.

2002年3月1日 · Hey man, I put a B&M Z gate shifter in my car and it's got a factory console too, I just used the factory mounts and added a piece of steel bar to get the other fixing points, workes really well and I can change it back if I ever want to, the only thing I had to cut was a small piece of the plastic under the console shifter sleeve , but thats minor and the Z gate cover,

2011年11月10日 · It is very tempting to get a ratchet shifter and see if the transmission is even using all 3 gears! It isnt too big a deal now because i plan on putting a 4 speed in it in the next 5 years probably. But it would be nice to have properly working.

2013年12月1日 · I have the Hurst pro matic ratchet shifter. I think its total garbage. It was already installed in my car when I bought it. The plastic boot/cover looks really cheap. Where the shift cable and shifter meet is a inch and a half bar to hold the cable broke. The contruction of the whole thing feels cheap and poorly made.

The cable needs to come off the shifter at a small angle so you will most likely have to cut a slot from your current shifter hole forward for the cable to go through. It also won't fit the stock mounting holes so you will need a couple new holes for the back mounting ...

2015年10月20日 · Lokar doesn't make ratchet style shifters. Raul is thinking of B&M and Hurst auto shifters which would never fit the console without major surgery. But I'm not sure the Lokar shifter would look right with a stock console. Would you try and keep the chrome base from the stock shifter or put in one of their vinyl boots?
