Ok, this is actually normal behavior. When the check engine light comes on the cruise control is disabled. Subaru built that into the computer as a fail safe in case the problem is with the electronic throttle. This way you can't lock it on and have the car take off on you.

2013年10月30日 · Car went in at 23,852 miles for a check engine, traction control/VCS, and flashing cruise control light. After various tests, the dealer determined it might be the leak check valve assembly (per Subaru techs), so it was replaced at around 23,900 miles. At around 24,100 miles the lights returned. I'm the first at my dealership with this.

2012年1月13日 · 2017 Subaru Impreza Sport, 45000 miles. My cruise control speed in the center display started flashing and CC was disabled. No other lights, like brake or CE. Just cruise control blinking. I've made no changes to the car, but it was low on gas (est 40mi to empty, low fuel light on). Shut off car and filled up. Started, and back to normal behavior.
