2019年6月11日 · Hey, folks. I'm starting a new project as of today! I purchase a 1963 Mercury Meteor S-33 with a 260 v8 and 4 speed for $850. I'll be picking it up next week. I don't have a ton of information, as I decided that it was worth the jump once I took a look at it. It's very complete.

In '64 The Canadian Meteor was the same just a solid back glass and breezeway was optional. 64 Meteors could even be had with no fender spear turn signals. 2004年6月9日 · 1965 Mercury sheetmetal. Meteor has different grill and trim, Merc has lower red tail ligh lenses, Meteor has silver colored blanks. Doors from a 66 Meteor or Merc will fit, as will the trunk lid, but the front clips are different

2004年3月5日 · In 1961, there were 2 different Meteors, Ford bodied Canadian version and Merc bodied Meteor 600 & 800, below the Monterey. Popular demand for a large cheap Mercury in Canada led to the 1963 Mercury 400, available with a 223 engine and having no roll-down feature on the rear window. In 1964 the Canadian Meteor was re-introduced.

2012年10月16日 · The 63 Meteor and your 64 Fairlane were not offered with a Big Block. Except for the 100 or so Thunderbolts, modified by Dearborn steel and tubing with a 427 BB shoved in them. Even a 289 with the Hooker 6134's it's a tight fit and a chore to change spark plugs. So, you will be shaving your shock towers to put your 351W in the 64.

Only one major difference involves the front strut rod anchors of the Meteor if you have to go that far as they are very different. 2012年10月5日 · Ford Restoration Parts - Falcon, Fairlane, Galaxie, or Mercury Comet - Ford Parts or www.falconinterprises.com are a couple . You may need the springs and buttons in the lower base of the shifter too if it has the ford original one on it. I have one of those 4 speeds too and redone all of the shifter a few years back.
