2013年9月26日 · I'm using my AKG K612 PRO headphone with my Fiio X3 2nd Gen dedicated DAP. Currently I don't own any headphone amp but planning to buy an A5. I'm gonna update this review when I do. I use my lossless archive while writing this review. All files are 16/44, 24/96 and 24/192. All of them are checked with spectrometer software. FIRST IMPRESSION

2013年10月11日 · I always felt that the AKG K701/Q701/K702 and now K612 sit nicely in the gap between a DT880 and HD600. I’ve personally never found the AKG x701/2 series to sound ‘plasticy’ in the mids (as others have found them) – of course this may well be my amp (NFB-12 is quite full bodied – powerful, but maybe slightly coloured).

2017年4月21日 · Compared to stock, the K612 now has lower, punchier bass, thicker tones, and toned down treble peaks. In many ways it seems like a cousin of 650 sound - still not quite as thick, detailed, or linear as the 650.

2013年11月18日 · I own both, though, the K612 are on a permanent loan to a friend. The HD600 is more transparent, more detailed, more of everything. They are easier to drive than the K612, but do prefer a higher quality amplifier and DAC [than the Modi] to get the best out of them. I'm assuming your source material is high-quality. Good luck.

2022年1月5日 · K612 Pro can sound extreme good, there is a big con though, they need competent amplification and those with a sufficient amp don't usually buy such cheap headphones. It's a odd headphone in that way, it's made for studio use and in the studio there are good enough amplifiers in place.

2014年12月16日 · If anyone can explain these headphones such as "the DT 990 pro is a bass heavy headphone which wouldnt be as good for gaming" or "the AKG has the bigger earcups which will be better for long gaming periods" for example, just to make my mind up. Thanks for all the feedback and help!

2020年4月3日 · Alternatively, I would consider gettin a new K612 pro + a BBB amp (Good Pretty and Cheap in spanish) if the latter isn't too expensive (which is a feacible option, given that the K612 pro are cheaper now). Any advice would be appreciated. I don't believe my ears will last much longet with eardbuds 24/7.
