The source for the maps is the definitive Forgotten Realms Interactive Atlas (1999), although I cross-reference with the original source maps that the atlas uses (in this case, Lands of Intrigue's maps of Amn) to ensure accuracy.

There isn't really any good information from 5e sources that I'm aware of. However, according to the Amn lore on page 92 of the Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide (from 4th edition): Nobody really likes Amn. Amnian merchants organized into various “companies” have strong-armed and intimidated people for thousands of miles around.

2023年2月27日 · Basically, yeah. So if you want a campaign in Amn or Thay... change your setting to Amn or Thay. All but a few of the earliest 5e modules are intentionally setting-agnostic for exactly this reason; so you can put them anywhere.
