BI-RADS 4, waiting for biopsy results
The ultrasound described it as a multilobulated complex cystic lesion measuring .8 x 1.9 x .8. Most of its margins are smooth and sharply defined. Some of the lobulations appear nearly anechoic suggesting cyst. Other lobulations show diffuse echoes concerning for solid portion versus prominent amounts of debris in a cyst.

Info and Experience with Apocrine DCIS?
Many invasive apocrine cancers are triple negative (ER-/PR-/HER2-), since DCIS seems to be a pre-curser to invansive cancer (meaning if you do recur with an invasive cancer it is typically the same subtype as the DCIS cancer), many believe that apocrine DCIS is more likely to be triple negative as well, which is a higher risk cancer.

I have done some research on apocrine metaplasia because it turned up in my path report. Apparently it is a precursor to metaplastic carcinoma and frequently co-exists because the cells are simply in a different stage of developing into cancer. Apocrine metaplasia is sweat gland cells that appear in the breast.

Sebaceous cyst that erupted under left breast on bra line. Back in May, I went for my yearly mammogram. I was called back because they wanted additional films of my left breast. Had the mammogram and an ultrasound. At that time, the Radiologist told me that he did not see any signs of cancer, and the area that they were concerned about was benign.
Biopsy scheduled Thursday… looking for support.
The smaller cyst is identified at 11:00 position 3 cm from the nipple, measuring 0.8 x 0.9 x 0.6 cm. The larger cyst is identified at 10:00 position 7 cm from the nipple, measuring 2.4 x 2.4 x 1.1 cm. These correlate with the right screening mammographic findings. Apocrine tumor — Breastcancer.org
Hello Happy. I was diagnosed in Feb. 2010 with Apocrine Invasive Carcinoma and was treated with Lumpectomy followed by 4 sessions of ACT and then radiation. I agree that there is very little information on this type of tumor. I recall reading that it is a less aggressive type of tumor, but I cannot recall where I came across that information.
