Stretching for two kilometres in the Valle d'Ansei, in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore, is the Auronzo Lake, a clear, sparkling body of water that is one of the most atmospheric and popular lakes in the Veneto region.

Lake Santa Caterina (also known as Lake Auronzo) is located in the municipality of Auronzo di Cadore (830m asl), in the province of Belluno (Veneto). Its extension is 0,49kmq and is both navigable (canoes, rowing boats and pedal boats) and bathing.

The spectacular town of Auronzo di Cadore stretches over a vast green valley and includes Misurina, with its lake, and the entire area around the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, one of the most touristic areas of the Dolomites World Heritage Site.
