We use a 0.02 micron polishing pad. It gets them to pass the scanning microscope test but they still look rough. I think our oven is not curing the epoxy in the connectors enough.

2017年7月10日 · Not OP, but the combinations change across people, equipment and target car. I use hexlogic pads (chemical guys) and use orange (medium cut) for compounds, white (medium polishing) for polish, and hand applicators afterwards (I used coatings so I don't need finishing pads since I don't wax, I do own some though)

But IMO polishing for hours and claying and prepping to just put an over the counter wax, well, is pointless and a lot of energy wasted. Consider a sealant for $50 rather than $15 wax that requires more maintenance. Compound is just overlapping pads and products for each pad.
