B&H has a 10 point scale to identify the condition of their used gear. 10 is unused (usually grey market or open box stuff) while a 7 or 8 has seen some heavy use. Best bet is to examine the piece in person if you’re unsure.

Sep 13, 2022 · I recently (May 2022) bought a used Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 II L for my workplace. We were required to buy from B&H, as they are an approved vendor. First lens we bought was advertised as graded "9", cost $1468. It had some pretty noticeable cosmetic damage; lots of scuffs and marks on it.
